Abstract Paintings

I believe that organic “mistakes,” irregularities and rawness are what imbues a painting with life and power. Each pattern has an effect and properties. Created with the right intention, attitude and process, it can work as a tool, spell or meditation focus, for a specific effect.

All cultures have harnessed patterns as symbolical representations of the spiritual world. Mathematical fractals are observed in nature, time, visual art, music, and are generated by scores of computer models.

Mutations during DNA replication are the basis of life. Without those random changes, evolution could not occur. It's why I cherish chancing beyond the framework of uniformity in my abstract paintings. Formal structure and random mutation live side by side in them.
